Three of them stopped being announcements this week.
Dow's Barry siloxanes plant is shut and the cost sits inside a reported quarter. The Celanese nylon unit at Sakra runs its last days right now.
And the Alabama cut BASF sketched in May has a headcount and an effective date on a state form.
Everything below moved between July 20 and July 27, with two items filed the week before that matured into something actionable in this one.
The three that landed
BASF, McIntosh, Alabama. Alabama's WARN list now carries a BASF Corporation entry for McIntosh: 79 employees, filed as a closure, effective September 30, 2026. BASF's own statement on July 26 says multiple production lines cease by spring 2027 and the site continues at a reduced footprint, with Theodore and Huntsville untouched. The lines are Performance Chemicals products going into plastics and automotive.
The May version of this story was "about 100 of roughly 200 jobs." The July version is 79 and a date, because a filing is a legal instrument and a trade item is not.
